Mick Innes

MICK INNES AS THE BAR RAT

Mick Innes is a legend of New Zealand film and television, probably best known as the voice of HAMMER hardware and the Australian prime minister on the Pineapple Lumps ads.

Mick has acted in 100s of shows, plays, and commercials over multiple decades with highlights include BootmenHome and Away and Echo Point in Australia and NZ’s HoundsSunny SkiesSuper City and Shortland Street.

Mick used to drink at the Masonic Hotel (where The Tavern was filmed) with legendary country musician Ritchie Pickett (a cousin of Matt Hicks).

Mick was sold on the role after learning Matt and Ritchie were related.

The Tavern was Mick’s last feature film before passing away.
