Matt Hicks

In 2016 Matt enrolled in Michael Saccente’s Meisner class and caught the acting bug.

Matt has acted in NZ features, most notably as one of the main cast of Buzz Cut, with bit roles on Home Kills, Darkest Light, AU3, The Red Admiral, and Punch, as well as Whakaata Maori TV show Ahikaroa.

Keen to take life by the horns and make a name for himself, Matt wrote and produced The Tavern (inspired by his misspent youth in pubs).

Matt has also been a well-known figure in the Waikato nightlife scene for over a decade as a DJ, playing pubs and clubs across the region.
